Marcus Marritt is a Glasgow-based illustrator focusing on a minimal approach to both form and colour. Originally working on the client side in creative services, Marcus’ love of illustration saw him make the move to creating work full time. Marcus often uses a restrained colour palette, focusing on light and shadow to create a body of cohesive and unique work.

Recent clients include ASOS, Weetabix, Vango, the FA, Visit Scotland, Barclays, Chelsea FC, BT Sport, Deliveroo, Oreo, Blackberry, British GQ, Wired and The Wall Street Journal.

Marcus Marritt was recently commissioned by Politico to create a series of dynamic illustrations for their latest issue.

One piece centred on Moldova’s fight ‘to free itself from Russia’s AI-powered disinformation machine’. The Microsoft story is a profile of the Red Hat team, which fights against AI vulnerabilities and offers guidance and best practices, on how to protect against them.

Universal Music hold an annual event at the iconic Camden Roundhouse at select an illustrator each year to capture the event. With nods to Bonfire Night and Diwali, we love that Marcus created!

Using his trademark clean lines and a restricted colour palette, Marcus created a series of illustrations enhancing to visit this charming rentals ski and activity resort in Chamonix.

Marcus illustrations were also used in the souvenir magazine.
