Robert Billington is a food and drinks photographer and director based in London. Known for his bright and bold images, Robert largely shoots using flash to create a saturated and punchy body of work. Working with a talented team of home economists, drinks stylists and props stylists, Robert creates imagery which pushes the boundary between food and art. He is also one of the founders and in-house photographer at Pit Magazine, a journal for all things food and fire.

Recent clients include Sainsbury’s, Baileys, Harrods, Hellmann’s, Pernod Ricard, Future Noodles and Vogels to name a few.

Robert Billington was commissioned by Hardie Grant to photograph Helen Graves’ latest cookbook, ‘Live Fire’.

‘Live Fire’ celebrates all things bbq, charcoal and spit – showcasing beautiful recipes that use fire to the full effect. Huge thanks to the team at Hardie Grant the amazing Valerie Berry on food styling, Rachel Vere on props.

Robert Billington was commissioned by the team at Pol Roger to work for the iconic champagne brand.

Rob worked with drink and food stylist Laurie Perry (represented by Garden) to create a series of bright summery images there the champagne pops.

Robert Billington was once again commissioned by Sainsbury’s, the time to shoot their latest Easter campaign. 

Featuring all the classics of chocolate eggs, hot cross buns and an Easter roast, Robert worked with food stylist Kostas Stavrinos and props stylist Jade Gallagher.

With a focus of warming comfort food, the new range brings autumnal flavours of pumpkin, nutmeg and cinnamon and warming classics with a modern twist including crumble and hearty soup.
