SERENA BROWN / TAYLOR WESSING PRIZE WINNER

We are thrilled to announce that Serena Brown is the inaugural winner of the Photographic Commission prize for the Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize 2023. 

Serena won with the image, ma nana fie, a captivating image of her sister, Chloe, photographed while Serena visited family in Accra, Ghana. The Photographic Commission prize gives the recipient a cash prize which will be used to create a memorable work for the National Portrait Gallery’s collection. Incredibly proud of Serena and her achievement!
