Jon is fascinated by people and their stories. Whether it’s a stranger in the street or a model in a studio, he always aims to build a relaxed and friendly connection with his subject. He is predominantly known for his lifestyle and portrait portfolio, capturing everyday yet dynamic slices of life rich with texture and movement.

Prior to becoming a photographer Jon was an assistant director for 10 years working on feature films, TV shows and commercials. Recent clients include American Express, BBC, EE, Google, GSK, HSBC, NHS, Tesco and Zipcar.

Jon Attenborough recently travelled to Snowdonia, Wales to photograph a personal project on winter wild swimming.

Creating a beautiful interplay between the tough yet beautiful Welsh landscapes and the sense of freedom that wild swimming provides, Jon’s project is a real love letter to the practice.

Jon Attenborough’s picture, ‘Ella Immersed’, which demonstrates technology’s endless potential, was shortlisted for Portrait of Britain 2023.

Thanks to the British Journal of Photography and JCDecaux UK for displaying the picture across the UK and to the judges for selecting the image.

Known for her infectious music, Anne-Marie is also a black belt in Karate, an author and Nando’s aficionado.

Jon Attenborough has been adding to his folio of motion work across various commissions and personal projects, including his latest short piece, ‘Mudlarking’.

Dating back to the 18th Century, a mudlark was someone who scavenged the river mud (notably in London) for precious items. Now a hobby, mudlarking occurs up and down the country.
