Em Cole
ABOUT
Em Cole is a multi-disciplinary artist whose work spans across photography, motion, set design and VR technologies. Em’s work is situated at the intersection of art and technology, pushing the boundaries of what ‘The Image’ means today, exploring critical viewpoints on human communication in a post-digital age. She is influenced by what she feels our over-stimulated and desensitised eyes are craving, her visual style combining sensory stimulation and a brazen sense of humour.
Em holds degrees in Material Design and Information Experience Design, having completed her MA at the RCA.
Recent clients include Instagram, Lotto, Puma, Interscope, Sony Music, Bompas & Parr, WAH Nails, I-D, Hunger and King Kong Magazine.
Recent Work

Em Cole was commissioned to create a short film for the Woodland Trust for their ‘Plant More Trees’ drive.
The project aims to plant more trees across the UK to combat climate change. Em directed the playful and humorous film (production by 1st Avenue Machine) which highlights this very important cause.

Em Cole was commissioned by the team at Uncommon to shoot a campaign for the new Chilly’s x House of Sunny collaboration.
Taking inspiration from 8os airbrushing, soft LA tones and camp, Em created a bright and bold campaign for the new range which takes the pattern from one of House of Sunny’s iconic dresses.
