Marcus Marritt is a Glasgow-based illustrator focusing on a minimal approach to both form and colour. Originally working on the client side in creative services, Marcus’ love of illustration saw him make the move to creating work full time. Marcus often uses a restrained colour palette, focusing on light and shadow to create a body of cohesive and unique work.
Recent clients include ASOS, Weetabix, Vango, the FA, Visit Scotland, Barclays, Chelsea FC, BT Sport, Deliveroo, Oreo, Blackberry, British GQ, Wired and The Wall Street Journal.
Marcus Marritt continues his work for Politico magazine, creating a series of illustrations for the latest issue on the subject of the European Green Deal.
Books By The Sea is a new initiative providing reading material to coastal communities. Inspired by Little Free Library, Books By The Sea has a miniature free libraries dotted around the North East. Marcus was commissioned to create a series of images for the initiative in his trademark graphic style, using books as the inspiration.
Marcus Marritt was recently commissioned to create the summer campaign for Fever Tree. Known for their premium tonic waters, Marcus took inspiration from alfresco summer drinking to create a series of images in his signature style playing with light and shadow.
