Marcus Marritt is a Glasgow-based illustrator focusing on a minimal approach to both form and colour. Originally working on the client side in creative services, Marcus’ love of illustration saw him make the move to creating work full time. Marcus often uses a restrained colour palette, focusing on light and shadow to create a body of cohesive and unique work.
Recent clients include ASOS, Weetabix, Vango, the FA, Visit Scotland, Barclays, Chelsea FC, BT Sport, Deliveroo, Oreo, Blackberry, British GQ, Wired and The Wall Street Journal.
Marcus Marritt was recently commissioned by NPR (National Public Radio) to create a series of illustrations on the upcoming 2020 election in the US. From voter security, to fake news and foreign influence, the illustrations capture a lot of the current hot button issues in the US.
