Malin Rosenqvist

ABOUT

Malin Rosenqvist is a Swedish illustrator known for her colourful and unique artworks that are all drawn by hand. Using lines and dots, Malin builds up an almost 3D image which is given texture through her rigorous approach. Using just a black pen, Malin then collages and colours the images in post. She studied at the Hochschule für Design & Kunst in Lucerne and the Royal College of Art, Design & Craft in Stockholm.

Malin recently created artworks for ‘Goodnight Stories for Rebel Girls’, volumes 1 and 2.

REcent clients include American Express, The V & A, Coop, Weleda, PostNord, Jamie Magazine, Boston Globe and Double Day Books.

Located on the Kent / Sussex border, Water Lane is an idyllic garden with Victorian glasshouses, a vinery and a restaurant using local produce.

Malin Rosenqvist was recently commissioned to create a series of illustrations for the Astrid Lindgren’s Children’s Hospital, part of the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm. 

A world leader in medical research and teaching, Malin was briefed to create a series of images for children to both comfort them but also help teach them the realities of medicine and life.

Malin Rosenqvist was recently commissioned by creative agency Anyways to create a series of stickers for Google. 

Based on the concept of ‘Nordic Love’ (think hygge, cinnamon buns and warm fires), Malin created a series of memorable designs in her trademark style.
